The urban project for Mas Falcó transforms the area following the city-garden model and influenced by 19th-century urban planning patterns. Therefore, it involves a traffic reorganization that prioritizes accessibility and enhances the urban appearance. The solution is designed to ensure it can be extended throughout the neighborhood, ensuring visual and functional coherence across the entire area.
Initially, the morphology of the streets, with steep slopes and irregular layouts, hindered accessibility. The sidewalks were narrow and in poor condition, often obstructing pedestrian passage. In response, the project includes the creation of one-way streets and a semi-segregated roadway to guarantee accessibility. Additionally, there is an organized strip of vehicle parking that integrates trees, lighting, and various urban amenities such as benches, chairs, planters, parking meters, and bicycle racks at sidewalk level. This creates a safer and more accessible environment for pedestrians while respecting the aesthetic and essence of the neighborhood.
